The Collins Stewart London Boat Show has been running for the last 54 years & normally takes place in January.
There are hundreds of boats to Explore, suiting budgets for all tastes, if it's a Dingy your after? or a deluxe Yacht, you'll be spoilt for choice here, it's a great family day out, even if you dont plan to buy a boat.
New Years Day Parade 1st of January
London's New Years Day Parade has been running for the last 20 years & has raised or donated two thirds of a million pounds for London based charities, it is one of the largest parades in Europe & is beamed live to over five continents, with thousands of spectators & over 10,000 live performers, it's a wonderful event the whole family can enjoy for free.
Chinese New Year 26th of January - 20th of February
Chinese New Year is the biggest festival of the year in Chinese communities & is based on the lunar & solar calenders. The main areas for the celebrations will be in Chinatown, The Strand, Trafalgar Square & Leicester Square. The celebrations are very colourful with Dragon & Lion dances, Chinese arts, contemporary Chinese music & folk dancers Chinese acrobats, Shaolin monks performing their martial arts & firework, firecrackers, all these are intented to to scare away any evil spirits & bad fortune for the coming year, admission is free.
